At the grand opening of the world’s largest invention expo, Nikola Tesla was determined to dazzle the crowd. Decked out in his finest suit, he strode onto the stage, arms flailing with excitement as he prepared to unveil his latest invention: a wirelessly powered toaster.
As he bustled on, his pocket watch slipped from his vest, tumbling to the floor with a clink. Tesla lunged to catch it, but instead, he tripped over a loose cable, arms flapping wildly like a startled goose. His polished shoes skidded across the podium, knocking over a stand of microphones, sending a chaotic symphony of static crackles echoing through the hall.
Tesla’s face blazed crimson as he scrambled to his feet, knocking over the very toaster he intended to present. Smoke wafted from the appliance, and sparks flew unpredictably, setting off the fire alarm. The audience gasped; a hush fell as red lights bathed the room.
With theatrical flair, Tesla threw his hands to the heavens and declared, “Behold, the future of breakfast—instant toast… and instant chaos!”
Just then, the fire department burst in, mistaking the smoke for an electrical fire. As they doused the stage, Tesla blinked, soaked and utterly defeated… until the sprinkler system short-circuited, powering the toaster wirelessly and popping the perfect slice of toast into the air.
The crowd erupted into applause, as Tesla declared, “And that, my friends, is how innovation rises from disaster!”
