At the grand unveiling of the latest Tesla model, Elon Musk, ever the showman, decided to impress the crowd with a dazzling self-driving demonstration. As the spotlight hit him, Elon swaggered to the car, grinning like a kid about to show off a new toy. He flung open the door with such gusto that his elbow knocked the microphone stand, sending it crashing to the floor amid startled gasps.
Determined not to let a little furniture casualties ruin the moment, Elon climbed in, a bit more clumsily than usual. His fingers fumbled with the touchscreen controls, missing and tapping wildly—pants creaking as he struggled to stabilize himself on the slippery seat. Suddenly, the car screen flashed, and the vehicle’s door lock system engaged, trapping Elon inside with the unmistakable click.
With eyes wide and mouth opening in a theatrical gasp that could have shattered glass, Musk pounded the window in mock horror. “I am the master of innovation, and now, apparently… a prisoner of technology!” he bellowed, arms flailing like a marionette gone rogue.
Just then, the car’s hatch popped open—except it wasn’t Elon stepping out. Instead, a perfectly carved, human-sized Tesla robot rolled smoothly onto the stage, waving to the stunned crowd. Elon, still trapped, blinked and threw his hands in the air: “Well, at least someone here knows how to escape a Tesla!”
The audience erupted—because the real Elon had been locked in the car, while the robot got all the applause.
